Brahmastra Day 1 Box Office prediction. Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor’s film to end Bollywood’s dry spell

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s film Brahmastra released in the theaters today, September 9. It’s Day 1 box office collection is predicted to end the dry spell on Bollywood.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt-starrer Brahmastra: Part One Shiva finally dropped today, September 9, after a long wait. The film is expected to end the dry spell of Bollywood, and it is quite evident from its advance bookings. The mega-budget movie, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy, is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar. Brahmastra’s advance booking was off to a flying start. Till 11.30pm on September 6, approximately 1.3 lakh tickets were sold at national multiplex chains – PVR, Inox and Cineplex. The film earned Rs 18 crore in the advance booking last night. It’s Day 1 box office is predicted to be off the charts.

BRAHMASTRA BOX OFFICE PREDICTION

Trade analysts predict a Rs 30 crore opening day for Brahmastra, easily the highest for any Bollywood film in the pandemic-era and the best since War (2019). The numbers can go higher still given the early reviews and word of mouth, according to reports. As per media reports, almost 1 million tickets have been sold for the movie by Thursday night in advance bookings.

Box Office India reported, “The advance is driven by excellent sales at the national chains especially in 3D with sales on Saturday being super strong and only 30% less than the first day which is very rare. The advance is less is at places like Gujarat / Saurashtra and the Central circuits but even here it is more than anyone would have expeceted before advance started. Its just comparatively these circuits are a bit lower than others. The final advance of the film is likely to end in the 27-32 crore nett range and wherever it falls it is an excellent advance and if we talk post pandemic than it is phenomenal. The advance of the film should be enough to break two myths in the industry.

Brahmastra is expected to do wonders at the box office, according to trade analyst Ramesh Bala. Speaking exclusively to IndiaToday.in, he said, “On Day 1, it has to collect Rs 25 crore net, and probably around Rs 75 crore at the end of the three-day weekend, considering they are expecting Rs 10 crore in advance booking. It should be the Number 1 Hindi movie, bettering Sooryavanshi. Given the buzz and the promotions, it should manage to do that.”
